The White Light

So if you guys had followed me on tumblr, you'd know that I struggled a lot with this- luckily it all worked out just fine.
The game had heaps of outfits and I wasn't sure where to go with it, there were so many possibilities!

I really wanted an outfit that could make good use of her agility- and I also wanted to make it Chinese based, since a lot of Japanese based outfits were already done.

The design choices, embroidery and basically- concept behind Lightning's costume design was inspired by my pet goldfishes. (I did spend a long time sitting across them lovingly for giving me the idea) The decision behind the cape, the white dress-shirt, etc- was based around that too.
But yes, they are indeed really swift and graceful- qualities resembled in the way Lightning fights.

The outfit in general however, was aimed to allow Lightning to move with ease and not hinder her agility in battle nor weigh her down much, basically.
A short dual blade would be light and swift, although an additional arm-shield (complete with fish bones design) could be added as well.
_{The chinese characters on her back literally translates to 'White Light'. (I was thinking White Ghost- but nah)}
It does refer to the white light her opponent will see as the lights in their eyes die... >;D
I picked white as the primary outfit color because as she is the Saviour, per se.. and white is often more associated with purity, etc.

Anyway, I thought I'd have a go at this contest, seeing that 95% of my gallery consists of Lightning comics
And I am both really excited and sad that her story is ending- ...or is it? (me and my buddies in the fanfiction and/or art department shall have a say in that, hahah)
